Aaron Yoo's Salon, A Korean Saloon I Highly Recommend

Just had my hair permed (Yes! Once again!) at Aaron Yoo's Hair Salon in Josemaria Escriva drive, Ortigas Center Pasig. (I recently availed a promo in Metrodeal for digital perm) And guess what? I'm a satisfied customer. So you'll be reading a very good review from me. LOL!

I'm a regular customer for digital hair perming and I have a regular salon that I go to for that service. I'm not a Korean fan but I like their services when it comes to hair perming. So while I was browsing in Metrodeal for some offers I saw Aaron Hair Salon's 999 digiperm voucher. The name sounded familiar so I checked it out. This was the salon my former boss was telling me about. When I used to work in Little Clarion my Korean boss went to this salon (it was walking distance from our school), and told us about their services. I wanted to try it out before, unfortunately I had to move to a new school and the new school was not anymore in the area. So when I saw their add I bought one voucher without having second thoughts.

As soon as I arrived we started the session. The staff were friendly and polite plus very accommodating and the place looks okay. Although the space was a bit small but it was neatly arranged and the spaces were maximized. The hairdresser used Korean medicine so I had to ask why since in my regular Korean salon where I usually have my perm they don't use Korean Medecine for hairs that were already treated before (so all the while I'm availing their more expensive promo) because the medicine won't work anymore. She told me (I forgot to ask for your name sorry) that they only use Korean product because it's better compared to L'oreal (Korean products are more natural and helps prevent more damage to hair compared to L'oreal because it has stronger or concentrated chemicals.) So I was a bit disappointed to my regular salon.

It only took more than a hour to have my hair permed since there are no other treatment to be done. It has finer texture and my hair doesn't look a bit stiff because of the medicine used. I like their services.
Since Korean Salon's are very popular today, I personally recommend you visit Aaron Hair Salon for your hair needs.

They have two branches:

  6. Dissapoinment !!!I bought a package at one of the deal site. Consisting digital hair +haircut(which is actually a trim only) so i decided to get a haircut. They also sold me the scalp treatment which i happily said yes since i got a very dry scalp. So they started with the trim and scalp treatment. Then the digital perm. They also told me i can opt for hair color too, I told the hairdresser that when i had my curls befor my hair lighten so there is no need for it and he look astonish as if not believing on my remarks. Then the RESULT came,
Haircut: not appropriate cut for curly hair, he even introduce a layered cut and thinning my hair, which ended a disheveled look
Digital perm: they used small curler not appropriate for round face like mine. And the curl not directly start from near the roots. So at the top are straight hair then curled downward. The bad news aside from thw frizzy haircut. Is my curl lighten up. It looks like i got black on top and brownish half. Not good.
At the salon:i was surprise when after the digital perm curlers been remove. My hair wet and almost look like ive gotten out of the shower. They announce that im already done. I look up my curls. And it looks like a very messy wet look curl.
Conclusion: im SO not going back. The staff are polite but not trained. They dont know how to style your hair. They just cut and curl. Thats it. Dont be fooled by the picture they had on the deal site.. It not what youll be getting.

    1. Saw the pictures. I agree with what you said on the last part. It really may vary depending on the hair type.

  8. Their haircut rate is kinda pricy but I really appreciate how they don't force/pressure the customers to avail their treatments or products.
My hair was dry and had experienced relax treatment. I really hate it when hairdressers put a worry face or hard sell me some treatments. In my case, I felt comfortable during my stay there.

  9. Will be having my rebond + color + scalp diagnosis with this salon soon, but I'm still checking for reviews if their service is worth it. I was also surprised that the mentioned treatment will only take 3 hours??!! Normally with my previous salon, it takes a whole day!! (From 10AM - 7PM). Now I am really hesitant to proceed with this salon! >_<

    1. Hi! I'm not sure how good they are when it comes to rebond, haven't tried it yet. But I think it usually varries in your hair type and volume. So sometimes the procedure will take longer. :)

  11. Hello.. Thanks for your reviews. :) My hair was rebonded a lot of times and since I got pregnant and breastfed, my hair wasn't treated for almost a year. It's really dry and colored. Do you think I will be needing another treatment so we could proceed for the digiperm? I heard that if your hair is not healthy then you cannot have it digipermed. Thanks. By the way, I'm Jomie. :)

    1. Hi Jomie! I think you need to have your hair treated first with hot oil or keratin to restore it's natural oil. Because if you will have either hair rebond or perm it will make your hair more dry so to avoid more damage I suggest you do regular hair keratin treatment.

When I did hair coloring plus perming it made my hair dry faster. :(

    2. Hi there. Sorry for I have just read this. I have an appointment on Aaron Salon on Friday (finally). :) May I ask if you've paid additional fees for treatments etc? My hair is still dry and damaged. :(

    3. Hi! I only paid extra for other treatment that I wanted to avail. The voucher is technically for perming/straightening only. But if you want to have hot hoil or other treatment then you'll have to pay for it :)

  12. hi! i was planning to purchase a voucher from this deal site but I'm scared that my hair might get damaged after getting a digital perm. I am aiming for big curls but the pics in FB looks like a wet look curls only. :( - april

    1. hi April! about the wet look, it's because they just finished the session. I also like big curls so I usually have it in medium size curls so eventually it will become big. Curls look good a few months after the treatment :)

  13. Hi April! And everybody as well! :)

Here's an FYI for those who are planning to have hair perming or rebonding:

    1. Any service will make your hair dry or damaged (perming, coloring, rebonding) but the damage will depend on how healthy your hair is.

    2. Herbal products has les damage on hair.

    3. Don't perm or rebond your hair when you have hair color. It will really damage your hair.

    4. If you had hair perming or rebonding, make a regular visit to a salon for treatment to help your hair maintain it's nutrients.

    5. Based on experience, you can attain big curls a couple of months after your permin session. Have it medium curls. :)

  15. Im writing this review while inside aaron yoo salon, promo availed at ensogo for P1500 digiperm, and guess what additional P3,300 coz addtl treatment required, the girl who arrived almost the same time with us, came here 2days ago, she came back along with her P3300 just not to waste her promo puchase. You know now what to do... have your hair checked first... or kiss your money goodbye

    1. Hi! I don't know if it was mentioned in the voucher that there will be hair testing first. The best way is to really have it checked first BEFORE buying the voucher so you won't waste money
